Notes:
To test the nutrients in the streams I used a Kruskal- Wallis test to analyze results within each stream to determine nutrient limitation
This test was used to detect significant differences among chl a, GPP, and CR, to the treatments of the NDS
Of the twelve tests that were conducted, only five of the tests indicated significant differences.
After first determining which tests showed significant differences
Then analyzed what those differences were between nutrients using the Nemenyi Test to determine
what treatments were significantly different and
identify which nutrient was the limiting factor.
Swauk Creek did not show any significant difference in GPP or CR most likely due to the loss of one of the frames of NDS tubes.
Iron Creek showed a significant different in all 3 summer results but none for fall.
Those included: The chlorophyll a (Chl a), gross primary production (GPP), and the community respiration (CR) as shown here
