The canopy coverage of the 3 streams did vary between the streams, but
After running a statistical analysis on the canopy between summer and fall, there was no significant difference found between season.

This could be due to a couple factors:
Iron creek was already very open,
Hovey creek consisted primarily of coniferous foliage therefore not a lot of deciduous trees to lose their leaves.
Even though Swauk creek did have more canopy coverage in the summer, it was not enough to show a clear trend in all 3 creeks.

The canopy coverage is important to note because it shows
For instance, the study area for Hovey Creek was very closed and shady it therefore showed more responses to heterotrophic activity whereas Iron Creek was in a much more open area allowing for more light to the study area.
