Rock samples were taken to test for Chl a in the streams. Random rocks were selected and scraped and then analyzed for chl a amounts found.

These results were then analyzed through statistical analysis

And there was a significant difference found based on season.

Streams had more algal biomass in the summer compared to the fall.

This could be explained by the increase in flooding and scouring which would decrease the Chl a in the fall.
