We surveyed the entire yakima river from Ellensburg to Lake Keechelus, the Cle Elum from the mouth to lake Cle Elum, and the lower 35 km of the Teanaway/N. fork Teanaway River.

Roza dam is another 50 km downstream from the lower end of our survey, through the canyon. Below Roza, the river is dominated by warmwater species like smallmouth bass and carp. Low flows due to agricultural dewatering often cause temperature levels to exceed those preferred by salmon.
