Notes:
Seed with a no-till drill in fall prior to rain/snow
Seed depth is approx ½ inch or less
Most important factors in seeding are seed soil contact and depth.
Use mixes depending on site conditions – alkalinity, water table, precip, sandy soils.
Primary grass species
Basin Wildrye, Sandberg’s bluegrass, Bluebunch wheatgrass, saltgrass, squirreltail, needle and thread, ricegrass
Use approx 7-88 lb/acre when Basin wild rye (large, heavier seed) is dominant species
