Neat effort to deal with an issue that is big in the Yakima Basin- high summer flows in mainstem delivery reaches. There is some uncertainty about how these structure will perform, but there was a strong consensus that even the worst case scenario is an improvement over current habitat conditions. Design is being coordinated with detailed habitat/flow relationship modelling being conducted by BOR.
