Board Structure

Notes:
This new organization was incorporated as an independent non-profit corporation, and is governed by a Board made up of Yakima, Kittitas & Benton Counties, the Yakama Nation, and city governments from throughout the Yakima Basin. This strong support from local governments is a key strength of the Board, both in promoting effective fish & wildlife programs in the basin, and in building the political support needed to sustain outside support for those efforts. All participating governments are members of the Board, which meets for an annual meeting each year, and as needed. The Nation, the three counties and two cities from each county make up the Board of Directors, which is responsible for overseeing the regular operation of the Board.
