Sympatric O. mykiss model: pilot run
Notes:
Other potential uses of the model include evaluation of habitat restoration or alternative hydro regulation schemes resulting in an increase in recruitment from one or more lifestages. In this particular scenario I increased the capacity and productivity for recruitment of young of the year O. mykiss. This scenario increase the mean abundance from 92 to 355. The bottom scenario depicts possible Threshold capacity limits when Smolt to adult return rates are increased significantly. Currently, the model suggests an adult capacity of 3500 adults and roughly 17,000 smolts. These kind of results may be useful when scaling a supplementation program and evaluating the impacts to the resident population’s abundance trends.
